   There are problems with this model. The 2nd bulk head from the bow does not seem right. Seems like a mistake because the wood just does not want to bend in that direction. I see where they were going with it, but it doesn’t work. Had to put white glue over sides and paint over to cover large gaps. Also the directions could be a lot better, with real pictures of the ship and not hand drawn. I have managed to make it look pretty good, despite the problems.

   Materials are of good quality and all parts are in order with a few even having extra for use in the event of breakage. However, the directions- labeled as being in “English”- could be the worst that I have ever come across. Yes- the instructions do have an English translation but were written in Italian mainly for the Italian speaker. The translation from Italian to English is terrible and the plans are very unclear. Be prepared to wing a lot of it unless you have a very good working ability of both written and spoken Italian- as well as nautical terms in the same- otherwise you will not be able to make heads or tails out of it.
