This farm was so much fun for my kids and husband. They made it for our Montessori farm for our homeschool and it worked great! Our oldest kids are 5 and 3 so to make it a little more durable we used our own Elmer’s school glue. Occasionally we need to make repairs but the educational value and quality time my husband spent with the kids building it was priceless! Would definitely recommend this to others.

While the parts where well die cut for the most part I was surprised to see them not being lazar cut. The fit is good through out.

It’s a fun project to make with kids or even your partner! I ordered it for our baby’s farm themed nursery. we put it together and had a good time with it. Super cute and light weight. We’ll be painting it later for sure!

This diy barn set is just too adorable! It was very easy to put together (only took me about 15)! It came with simple directions and a picture that numbered each section so you knew where each part went. It also came with a tiny piece of sand paper which came in handy to smooth out any parts to make then fit together better. I used my own glue, paint, and farm animals to complete this mini barn set up!
Overall, I would definitely recommend!

These are constantly listed as “toys”. Even the packages say “Age 3 and up”……… I would love to see a 3 yr old, or a 12 yr old for that matter complete one of these! Minimal directions, all pcs must be popped out of the plywood, sanded and usually trimmed with a razor knife. I am sure a 12-18 yr old could do it, but it’s truly NO toy! I have made them for neighbor kids and if played with, they break! All are made from thin plywood, and glue is “optional”…. its NOT optional! If you don’t glue it, it wont stay together! The instructions are simple, Look at the picture on the front. Follow the numbers printed on the back of the picture. 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3 and on. THAT’S IT! I am disabled and spend a lot of time making these just for fun, but they are not for kids as they say! IF you love modeling, or woodworking like I do, you will really enjoy these! I have completed a good 50 of them and have another 40 or so here to complete. Always looking for a good one. Good luck! Take your time and it will come out very nice!

Started working on this barn last night. It is great. Beware: it is only 21 pieces, but you will require some gluing and sanding. I have the barn together all except for the top, (have to stop and do some decorating inside before throwing the top on). The holes for most of the pieces, especially that fit to the bottom, are very loose. But I glued everything and threw on a couple of clamps in spots for a few minutes and all was good. Did have to sand some of the pieces that fit into the slots that put the walIs together with the barn end pieces. Some are a little thick, but no major problems. I have a file set that I got from ehobbytools.com that are diamond crusted and are specifically made for working with these kind of wood projects. Worked great. The doors and loft door on the barn end pieces do not open. They are just laser cut into the wood. I would not recommend buying this for a child to play with, it will not hold up. I’m into zombies and The Walking Dead, so my barn is going to be along the lines of Hershel’s barn. May add some doors and just cover up the laser cut doors. The instructions are pretty much standard like all of these wood projects-on the back of the cover printed sheet. Each section, (pieces to punch out), of the enclosed wood slices is numbered on the printed cover page. I have found that before you start doing anything, stop and go over the wood slices and number the different pieces according to the diagram. Really makes life easier in the long run. Takes a lot of the guess work out of the process. You can concentrate more on the project and less time trying to find pieces. You can use a variety of sized of miniatures inside the barn. On the front side of the barn you can use 2 ” figures in the widows. The windows in the back will use about an 1″. Those widows sit a little bit lower. The back of the barn has a pen completely around the back. It’s probably about an 1 to 1 1/2″ wide. The fence is about an 1 1/2″ tall. Cute little barn. Endless ways to decorate it. It came quickly and was packaged really well from the vendor. I would recommend this vendor for future purchases.
