   It was the second model I build in my life, but I am happy with the results, this model will be for beginners.
   Some pieces were difficult to attach to them, and I broke two of them. The stand is useless.

   Nice model – havn’t put a model together in years – very entertaining – the stickers were very cool – you can put the stickers on from 3 different space shuttles – a little tricky for the stickers – just how i remembered them as a kid. Nice model – nice size – nice detail

   There were parts in this shuttle i had to cut to modify. The tank inside of the shuttle was preventing the cargo doora from being shut properly. I had some adjustments to make. It was a nice build though.

   Kit includes a stand, which is pretty cool. All white parts, so you have to paint it. Great build so far. Good for any modelers who want a good, detailed Space Shuttle. Only includes parts for a laboratory and telescope for the load. Hasewaga makes a model with the Hubble.

   So if you want a kiddies kit that the 5year old can try build paly with and break within a week this is the kit to buy. It’s the shape and colour of a shuttle but that’s about as much as can be said for it. The glaszing was warped , cloudy and deformed, the plastic is thick and chunky with very very little detailing in it, the kit fits together very poorly with a large amount of time spent sanding and filling gaps. Now to be fair to revell the orgional moulds were created in the 1990s so at least 35 years old according to scalemates so they are are inaccurate and warped after years of use. That’s a habit of revell to buy up old moulds , redox the kits and pass them off as there own brand, perfectly legitimate of revell but not really the way to create good quality kits for moddlers. The unfortunate thing is there aren’t many shuttle models around , infact I think this is the only one, so whilst I wouldn’t buy it again or recommend it , your kinda stuck with it if you want to build a shuttle. Perhaps someone will do a 3d printed model with more detail , we can but hope.

   Very poor manufacture from Revel, the body of the actual shuttle does not meet very well at all, which leaves you to use a lot of filler. The area around the cockpit doesn’t fit whatsoever, one side is greater than the other and the gaps are huge very poor build very poor quality kit. The plastics are not very good and needs to be addressed by the manufacturer but obviously it’s what it is I wouldn’t recommend this kit. I’m a semi decent modeller and this was the type of quality we got back in the 70’s.

   First Revell kit after buying around 5 assorted Airfix and Tamiya kits, and this was probably the worst fitting kit I’ve experienced. Expect to use a good amount of modelling putty to fill gaps and a lot of cleanup on the sprues as flashing is very commonly seen.

    I bought this to build with my space-crazy 7 year old. I will preface by saying I have been building models since I was but a wee child, and have won many trophies in local, regional, and National model contests.. That said,, this is possibly one of the worst kits I have ever assembled (some Eastern Bloc kits excepted). The instructions were OK, but Fitment was terrible, with flash and warped parts being the big issue. It is definitely not up to par with any Tamiya, Dragon, or Hobby boss kits.. It looks as though this kit was possibly re-released under the Revell label from another company’s molds, and the molds are just worn out. Lots of filler was required for the seams to eliminate them. Rather than use the decals for the black insulated areas of the wings and such, I masked and painted them. I finished by mounting the Shuttle to a wood base with a clear acrylic rod to simulate flying, and made the included astronaut seem to be floating out in space with a scratch built APU. Mallory added stars to the background. It was frustrating to build, and not very enjoyable overall, but to see the absolute joy on Mallory’s face when finished made the endeavor worthwhile. That’s all that matters.

    Excellent product. I really enjoyed building this. Pride of place on my bedside locker. 2nd one I’ve built after building the one with the booster rockets. Great value for money and arrived really quickly.

    A nice model but flawed. For the expert modeler a good challenge . I’m not one for using fillers and stuff, no patience . The model advertised as Atlantis but the cargo is from STS-9 Columbia . The transfers for Columbia
    are not included. The two small windows in the cargo bay are missing too for the payload specialist.
    Revell as per usual require a lot of paint tins , mixing is needed for a few colours .

    Product was advertised as new. It wasn’t. Box had been opened. Plastic bags had been opened and taped shut. Hopefully all the pieces are still there. Otherwise it looked in good shape.
