  1. Jim Walsh

I had wanted to use the unique shape of the VW to put it on a RC chassis.

  2. Samantha

    Great Christmas gift .

  3. Mestius

very old tooling for this kit and it really shows, loads of flash, mold lines and a very swirly surface on the car body. this is nothing an experienced modeler cant deal with but it does require a lot of work to get a good result, definitely not for beginners
do feel the kit is a bit overpriced for what it is really, it has a modern pretty box and nice instructions and decals tho,
airfix do a 1/32 beetle that is also an old repop but was far cleaner and needed a lot less work than this kit, I wanted this year model of beetle tho and airfix one is earlier and has a lot of styling differences.
its not a completely awful model but be aware of what your getting yourself into. and yes the wheels do actually roll, think I saw someone say that they dont

  4. James

Got the model and it was as flat as a pancake I told the plp and they want me to pay to ship it back I think they should and the bad thing is they won’t even give my money back this is sad

  5. Babes

    It’s a bug

  6. J. Shaffer

    box was smashed again

  7. rafboy

This was a purchase on behalf of my 10 year old grandson, he has thoroughly enjoyed the exercise in assembling and partially finishing the model, unlike me his aging grandfather who could have appreciated much clearer and straightforward assembly instructions. A testing challenge and hard I think for most adults and experienced model makers.

  8. kerry keel

I can’t say to much, since this was bought for a young kid, who asked for this kind of gift. A Christmas present, for someone whose parents could not afford it, but did ask for help. My highest pleasure to do this for someone in true need.

  9. Simon Bridgen

    Very good

  10. Mari

    Not worth the money.

  11. Frances Rojas

    Not was I expected

  12. Nicole Nicole

I got this for a gift for Xmas and I love it!

  13. Mestius

Poor quality falls short of either traditional airfix or easier ‘legoesque’ option.

I wanted a quick kit for my son and I to put together. Plastic felt weak and poor quality and although has a ‘3’ for difficulty, the most annoying part of airfix (water based transfers) are included. Why they didn’t have stickers I will never know.
