For the money you pay for it you’ll think that it’ll be a good model. But no it’s been made like it’s rushed nothing fits together and if you do get it make sure that you have enough model filler

    Nice product

This is the worst kit I have ever experienced. They amount of putty required for fitment is terrible. It is not a pleasure to put together due to all the alignment issues. I have had to use two part putty to ensure fit is stable. I don’t even know if I will complete it.

  4. Maria frizzle

Multiple pieces missing, instructions are not horrible but could be better, but worst of all the pieces fit together as well as putting a square through the circle hole in that kids toy, worst fitting model, after hours of work, forcefully pushing pieces together and a tube of putty it semi fits would not recommend unless you have no concern about how it looks

Large model with lots of parts, unfortunately there is flash on virtually every part which had to be dry fitted .
The coating over the instrument panel didn’t fit and was too tight, and when fitted to the cockpit and front canopy glazing, it leaves a gap under the glazing!!
The instructions actually tell you where to remove the flash but it’s everywhere and sometimes difficult to see exactly what the shape should be on some parts.
The wheel well consists of many sectional pieces that I chose to fit together as a “skeleton “ to drop in as one piece…the idea to facilitate painting.
Will probably turn out ok ,but for a recently developed model ,it’s not good but it is cheap compared to other brands.
I’m also building the Tamiya 1:32 F16 which is at least twice the price, but dry fitting is only to see how things go together, not if they fit!!
You will need a lot of patience with this which saps the enthusiasm for model making!

I am very disappointed at the quality of the model poor fit of parts lots of mistakes in instructions. For a company of this size it is a very poor show indeed

Dont bother with this kit, the fit of the parts is horrendous seeing as though this is a new tooling I expected better for my money. When you build a kit you expect to have to fill some small gaps here and there but this kit goes beyond that, even the insructions show some of the areas that need filling around the tail section. Getting the nose and cockpit section to fit is a nightmare and yes youce guessed it more filler needed. I’m about halfway through building this kit and I’m thinking it would have been easier to scratch build an entire kit then work with this one. I’m not a professional model maker in any shape way or form but I have built a fair few models to a decent standard over the last few years and this kit is really testing my nerves. I did think it was my errors causing the problems but a quick online search threw up a couple of videos showing the self ssme problems I have faced. It is a shame because this kit could be wondrful but its not, how this got passed quality control at Revell is beyond me.

Definitely not what I expected for a $120 model. I understand that it requires experienced building techniques but that doesn’t give them an excuse to put out something that does not fit together well without filing and cutting. The Tamiya model that I also purchased when I bought this one blows this model away and cost only slightly more. In my opinion, don’t waste your time or money on this one.

A little fit and finish issues, but overall a great kit.

Great value from Revell. Good ordnance and targeting pod selection. and modern levels of detail. Hi and low viz decal option. Separate control surfaces and wingfold options. There are reports of fit issues but I suspect they are anything an experienced modeller can deal with with putty and sanding. Personally very happy to have this.
