This sword was pretty cheaply made. It began falling apart in the first few minutes! The 4 year old loves it, even with that happening so it was a win!

  2. Ronan

Little boy loved it,solid gun maybe could be stronger/thicker at front tip of gun. But he loves it “this is the way”

Don’t listen to the negative reviews if you intend to modify! There are a lot of negative reviews for this product but if you are looking for a Mando rifle to modify either for cosplay or to display, this rubie’s piece is an affordable option. It does run on the small size, more meant for a child than an adult but, again as a wall display or slung on your back for cosplay, this will do just fine. The pieces do fit together but once together, they won’t come apart as there are click and lock mechanisms. Wait to click the pieces together until after you have painted!

I was worried about all the bad reviews as well. But my son really wanted a Mandalorian rifle and there is nothing out there! People sell stuff on Etsy for well over $100, but that more than I want to spend. Anyway, when I saw the review where he painted it I thought I would get this ugly orange and white gun and try painting it too. The gun did come a little dirty, but I washed it with an SOS pad. I let it dry completely. I sanded it down with some fine sand paper so that the paint would stay on better. I wiped it down again. Then I used black, gold, brown and silver spray paint that you would use on a model airplane (you can find some spray paint like this at any Hobby Store.) I spray painted the gun. I used painters tape to cover up the areas I needed to as I went. Be sure to wait a day or two before you put painters tape on the areas you already painted or it will come off. The pieces were difficult to put together. I didn’t think they would fit either, but I held the gun vertically and wiggled it around a bit and it snapped right in for a very secure fit. I had to cut the strap off to paint the gun and when I went to put it back on I realized how cheap the strap was, so replaced it with a yard and a half of better quality strapping I found in the ribbon section at Hobby Lobby. I was actually pretty surprised with how cool looking it turned out!! I’m not sure how long it will last as my son plays with it, after all it is cheap plastic. But he’s going to love it! Thanks to the pervious reviewer for the tips on painting it!

So it’s not cheap. It’s licensed by Disney but it’s made of a cheap brittle plastic rather than something stronger. It doesn’t make any sounds and trigger doesn’t move. It shouldn’t be licensed by Disney it’s so bad.

  6. LA

Like the sling dislike the scope is missing

  7. Scott

You’re paying for the Star Wars name. This gun is cheaply made and it is immediately obvious. It’s dirty, paint is thin, the strap was put on wrong. If it functioned it may be worth the price, but it literally is just for looks, but the looks are lacking

  8. Kathy

My son has fun dressing up and playing with this, but quality is eh. Our first shipment’s plastic was so warped the prices wouldn’t fit together, but the replacement was fine. It has a very cheap plastic feel and parts have already broken off.

  9. Jayne

Three piece solid plastic, non functioning, no loving parts whatsoever. Strap was broken within minutes.

  10. Amazon Customer

Not a bad item to upgrade, paint for Cosplay. Not screen accurate but not bad for cozplay. Not for Upgrade for 501st.
Seller, tell AMAZON DELIVERY PERSON NOT TO JUST KNOCK AND LEAVE IT ON A PATH NEAR A MAIN ROAD. So many are being taken by someone or not really being left.Luckily my partner saw lights from her window

  11. barbara gilmore

This is made of brittle plastic so is very delicate. For show only. My son knocked it with his school bag and the fork end broke off – very disappointing for the price. Only lasted 30 mins. Would not buy again

  12. Jayne

Well, I bought this to go with my grandson’s Mandalorian costume. Little did I know it would cost more than his actual costume. But he really wanted to entire set so what’s a grandma to do but provide it for them? Lol. I definitely would have shopped around more had I had the extra time, but we were doing a photo shoot and it all barely came together just the day before the shoot. This is a nice accessory, but way over priced. I think it’s value tops would rank around a $7-$12 value at the most. I paid $25. Keep comparing prices, if you have time as a luxury.

  13. LA

Bought this to match my sons mando Halloween costume – it did the job but not impressed by the quality, especially for the money. Not sure why the gun is white and orange?
