Just like the description says, this isn’t a “model” or kit. Think of this like a piece of IKEA ffurniture you have to assemble. Should take you about 10 – 20 minutes. Once it’s done, it is nice, but not something that you can kill a whole afternoon putting together.

Beautiful sailboat lots of history regarding the bluenose. Bought it specifically for display in my home. It’s a decent size and easy to assemble. I could criticize a couple minor points about the ship but that would be me being picky. If you’re into sailboats this is a worthwhile purchase as long as your expectations are not over the top.
Enjoy!
Small edit to my review. I didn’t add the flag because it’s more like a cheap sticker so l will replace it with a better quality one.
Cheers.

Had a look at the market, for models of the Bluenose. Some cheaper, but poor quality. Others were
superb, but at a cost. This model is a ‘goldilocks’ model. Has some bits of rigging that require some
patience, but the finished model is great value and enhances my study.

Generally I like the look of the model however there are some quite glaring non scale parts to the model but would not be noticed by those who don’t know how the original was,
When I first assembled the masts and rigging (which I found reasonably easy) I found that the rigging at the end of the main boom would not reach the hook on the deck (see attached image) – I initially created an S bend in a piece of thin wire to extend the length so it would reach that hook.
I then noticed that the main reason was because the rigging attaching the bottom of the main sail was far too tight resulting in the sail being half wrapped around the boom instead of the bottom of the sail being slightly above the boom as it also was in real life. I unpicked the rigging and ‘eased’ it out using a spare piece of rigging rope from the kit I was trying to build. This and another ‘easing’ of rigging allowed the rigging at the end of the main boom to reach the hook on the main deck (see attached image). This was my main complaint about the model and many buyers may not have the expertise to correct it.

Wonderful sailing ship model, larger than I expected. Well packed, although two small stanchions were broken off, it doesn’t detract from the presentation. Would make a wonderful gift for the sailor or would-be sailor in your life..

Came well packed and undamaged. Easy to assemble and nicely made.

Beautiful ship. But had to reorder for missing part.

This ship model came packaged carefully with the ship hull and rigging separate. The lines on the ship were carefully numbered so that assembly was a snap. I am familiar with the ship and it is a great representation. Very pleased.

I got this for a friend in another country has a gift and it arrived safely in its original packing and was easy to open and display. They sent me a picture of it in their window because they were absolutely thrilled with it! Great quality and really beautiful
