This is 1:700 scale put together model. USS Iowa is an incredible example of American fire-power that allowed the US to overcome! The super structure is fairly easy; but, when you get to the MANY machine guns, get comfortable. It’s gonna take you awhile.

The current description of this item is very accurate. It is a 1/700th scale model of the USS Iowa. This is a model you would find at a hobby shop. It requires plastic cement and paint to put together. Tamiya makes very detailed models and each part, down to the 5 inch guns, shows just that. The pieces fit together very well…much better than older Revell models I used to make. The instructions are also very clear and the large color image of the paint scheme is VERY helpful. Highly recommended model. Don’t let the small size of this model scare you, the detail is incredible!

Amazingly detailed model for being such a good price. High quality model overall and has lots of little tiny details like the 20mm guns you have to put on.
**NOTICE** This is a WATERLINE series ship, so it’s only half the hull so that it looks as if it’s in the water. I did not know this, but all is well as I have it placed on a blue ocean printout now. Just as you see it in the picture.

This is a great model to build! The paint scheme was not too hard. Just use a bit of tape. Probably not for beginners. If you take your time the finished model will look great!

Beautiful KIT. Lots of parts and it goes together nicely. Lends itself to addition of PE parts for real quality. Sorry for the two individuals who complained that it wasn’t a “toy”. The description clearly says it is a MODEL KIT with MANY PIECES ON SPRUES.

Ordered this supposed toy, to find out it is a model that needs complete assembly of many pieces. A $7.00 model for $29.00! If I had known this, I would have never ordered it. I am mad!

This item says you don’t have to put it together and that it is a toy. Th at is a lie. This product is actually a thing you have to put together and it comes with literally thousands of pieces, so beware because this item is a rip- off!!!!!!!
