    Had all the best features of a Tamiya kit (easy to put together, great quality) and lots of room to upgrade it if you wanted to. I enjoyed every bit of making this kit. Here’s a few pictures (attached) of my efforts for you to, hopefully, enjoy. I spent about 12 hours making and painting this tank. I enjoyed putting the texture on the cast parts – I used Mr Dissolved putty for this.

    I enjoyed this tank so much I’m going to make another one.

    Like others have said; this tank is probably more complicated than the real thing when it comes to putting it together. Having said that this is a good model I noticed for a beginner in the Russian tank field. They are a little different than most NATO (must easier to assemble IE round turret) but also a fun model and very accurate representation of this little known tank.

    I don’t do models very often. In fact, the last model I did was in 1981and it was a car. It’s exactly what the description said it was.

    This was a great kit! I enjoyed building it and it looked very nice when I was done. Being a child of the Cold War I remember that tank on the news. Very recognizable and a joy to build.

    went together very well,producing a very nice tank,though i did have to buy a metal gun barrel as the one that comes with the kit was slightly bent.

    Both upper and lower parts did not meet up and the tracks 2inch to short had to go on line and buy one that fit not happy with the kit

    I’ve always been a fan of Tamiya Model kits. They are always reasonably well detailed. I wasn’t as satisfied with the means to attach the upper hull to the lower hull. This kit is also designed to support a motorized kit and they retained the means to separate the hulls to perform motor repairs/replace batteries. This causes a less then perfect seam out of the box. Other than that, it’s a very satisfying end result. You can improve detail/accuracy with aftermarket kits.

    This kit is very excellent but it does have some flaws. First the upper Hull and lower Hull does not meet up. Second the rubber tracks are too tight so it’s a pain to get these fitted in nicely. Overall very good kit from tamiya though.
