    Tamiya kit means precision and detail and this has both!

    I made this plane with folded wings so it would fit into a cabinet. The colors are not correct but I liked
    the Thunderbolt paint scheme.

    Let’s face it, Tamiya is like an industry standard for a reason. The panel lines are crisp and not over-done. The fit is awesome and you can build it right out of the box and get outstanding results, if you put some time into it. If you add detail sets, you can get a museum quality build out of it. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to build model aircraft. The dimensions are accurate and if you follow the directions, it’s not a tough build at all! Any of the gaps I filled were thanks to mistakes that I made during assembly. This review goes for the F4U-1/2 and the F4U-1D kits too!

    I guess you can’t expect to get a brand-new product just because you paid for one. When I received it, the shrink wrap had been removed completely, and the top of the box was held down by two small pieces of blue tape. The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because it’s not Tamiya’s fault.

    Challenging and fun model. I have been enjoying my time putting it together. Pieces fit good and will probably buy more tamiya kits in the future.

    Tamiya F4U-1A corsair is the best on the market.the reason being is fit of the parts are fantastic no filler required just a slight sanding of the seems top and bottom also you can have the wings folded or wings down cockpit is great out of the box just need to had some seat belts as you only get decal ones.you have 2 choice of makings they are printed well but a bit on the thick side so you will need a good decal setter for them to bed down on the aircraft but other from that the kit is fantastic will be buying the other corsairs from Tamiya they are that good.buy one you won’t be disappointed.
