  1. Michael Ramsey

Excellent Kit. It will add well to my diorama.

  2. Ironmike

This one has a couple options to customize your tank.

  3. Angela White

This is a very good model from tamiya. Lots of extra parts, with tanker crew and storage. Several markings are also included on the decal sheet. Can be painted to depict any tank used during WW2 campaign. As this tank was widely used by all allied forces. Tank tracks are vinyl, and assemble with ease. These can be painted with acrylic paints. Out of the box assembly detail is really good. I chose to build my model straight from the box and add detail with tamiya acrylic paints. Thank you for a great model.

  4. Kirk W.

This was a fun model, with good detail and three options as far as decals. It went together easily and looks pretty good. The instructions are easy to follow and show paint and decal schemes for the different tanks you can make. For two of the final options you’ll need to do a two-toned color scheme of olive drab and light sand, so get those paints, too. The kit includes lots of accessories like knapsacks, jerry cans, and spare wheels so you can make it look authentic.

  5. John Stanger

    This kit is excellent quality.

The hull and turret have a very realistic texture (that simulates the cast steel of an armoured vehicle very well).

There are a few miniscule parts. Therefore some tweezers will be a good idea.

  6. Tau Ceti

Although l did do a quick check on receipt didn’t notice sprue D is missing until started build…. So could not return as already put main Hull together

Tamiya are useless and simply put me in touch with UK distributor who wanted another £7.50 plus £5 postage to give me the missing sprue on an initial £22 purchase

Cannot finish build as D includes all the periscope and hatch equipment…. Will use as spares for another Chinese or Korean kit

Gave it 5 stars to sit at the top of the reviews…… DO NOT BUY. Sprue looks like its an addition to the Sealed bag standard sprue set

  7. Richard Garrity

The detail of this model is excellent. This leads to some of the parts being small and fiddly to glue into I found the instructions good. Do not worry about language the necessary instructions are in English as well as others . Do not underesimate the need to thoroughly study the instructions failure to do so will lead to a horrible mess of a model

  8. Mr Sean David Dobson

I had not done any model making in over 30 years, this item really got me back into it. The detail was much better than I expected for the price, with clear instructions and not too much flashing to remove, the tank and figures came to life. I have since bought other models, only to find the details are not as good and more expensive so l stumbled onto a gem of a model first time round. A real pleasure to make and paint.

Arrived today in good condition. Son loves it. I do not because I ordered as a Christmas gift for my son and ordered well in time. Arrived late and missed Christmas.

  10. Mr Sean David Dobson

Package arrived without any protective outer packaging, just the address label stuck to the outside of the box.
Box is damaged and it is impossible to remove the label without damaging the print on the box.
    Cheap and lazy.
The kit itself is, as always with Tamiya, is however excellent.

  11. Ed Friendly

This kit offers a couple variations on build, fitting of parts was easy, flash wasn’t too bad, lots of extra stuff (props) to put on the tank. Tracks were well made and could be glued instead of melted together. Scale looked good. Enjoyed build through out.

  12. Michael Ramsey

This particular offering from Tamiya is an excellent way to get into the world of building Sherman tanks in 1/35th scale. Plenty of good details here but with a bit of extra items such as a metal turned barrel, Hornet tanker heads for the figures provided, AFV tracks and some excellent Value Gear stowage and presto – a nice Sherman on display. The kit assembles easy enough, the supplied stowage is a good way to mix with any after-market items and some weathering, sandbags draped on the front hull and field packs dangling from wire along the outside of the turret for more detail and its a nice build. I’ve built several of this model and others from Tamiya and Dragon etc, but this is a nice way to tinker. Mud in a Pot can be dabbed inside the wheel region of the hull for added realism and your done. And the added cost of the items mentioned isn’t all that expensive.
Five 75mm barrels for this baby.
