I actually wish that this model was available at 1/48 instead of the 1/72. When you start working with 1/72 then things are really small and if you have built up a model layout based on 1/48 models then this doesn’t quite fit. The only 1/48 Chinook that I found that was a model was priced at almost $70.00 and I wasn’t going to pay that just to complete a model layout. I built the 1/72 and put it in my model 1/48 layout and it looks OK but I would really like a reasonably-priced 1/48 Chinook someday to make it more realistic.

This product really isn’t a toy, but a model for more experienced model builders. Intricate detail and easy to follow instructions made this a real joy to put together. The final product looks great (though I didn’t bother with the several VERY miniature decals that came with the kit). Overall, I am very satisfied with the result and will proudly have this displayed. The downside is that it is a very fragile model and requires careful handling. I would definitely recommend this model for any helicopter lover or model building enthusiast.
