Where the F$ am I going to put this thing. Some minor discrepancies and or sanding needed., but overall excellent detail. You do need to plan ahead as to where you will place it, since it’s 4.5 feet long. You don’t think it’s too bad until you see it. Makes the 1/350 model look small. Remember that if you put it in a case, case will need to be approximately twice the size of the 1/350 in length, width and height.
If it doesn’t make your wife divorce you and or significant other to leave you, it’s worth it.

Great detailed model of the USS Missouri

got delivered a day early than expecting, once opened, no bashes, dents , scratches what so ever, what a size once you open the box up

Very quick, hassle free delivery was a plus, but the kit itself is the best part. I was surprised initially that the box wasn’t longer – until I opened it and found that quite a significant part of the bow has to be glued on. Sharply moulded, detailed and a nice dry fit, I think with a few extra photo etched parts plus the Trumpeter extras pack that this will be a great build.

This ship is huge! Just the way it was packaged says alot about Trumpeter. The detail is incredible. If you like building models this thing is a must .not as difficult as it looks.

I’m from Wisconsin, so will build this as the U.S.S. Wisconsin, “The Last Battleship”. At least, I will build it when I figure out where. I may need to build a bigger modeling table first…

great kit, did find a few discrepancies with part numbers, fit of some parts requires modifications.

I have been assembling models since the early 1960s and this is by far the largest kit I’ve undertaken to build. I’ve read all the reviews so far posted and agree with their comments. The fit of the parts is excellent, the detail is good, occasionally too detailed as the parts become extremely small and difficult to handle (I use dental tools) with these parts. I’ll report back when completed and the poster who contributed their photos of a painted completed kit, it is deeply appreciated as the one-sheet painting guide provided is inadequate.
It is now 4 October 2020 and my Missouri is completed, with one exception: the photo-etched parts. As a military historian and lecturer at a local university, the Mighty Mo never had so much brass in its completed state. Why has Trumpeter added so much of this, frequently difficult to work parts? With the exception of radar antennae, I can’t see a historical precedent for so much brass in this model. Also, we can all thank Derick P. for the photos of his completed model as a paint guide, there is a color paint guide sheet included but it is almost useless. The painting might take as long as did the assembly, but painting it will really bring this entirely gray (battleship gray?) model to life. Now, for the really hard part: where will I exhibit this huge ship? Stay tuned . . .

I am currently Building this Absolutely Huge Model , and it is Simply Stunning !!! I Strongly Recommend the Pontos Blue Wood Deck for Historical Accuracy. This Trumpeter 1/200 scale completely Overshadows any smaller scale Models our there !!!
It is Expensive, but worth every Dollar !! Highly Recommended !!!
