I got into airbrushing late 2021 and have enjoyed it as a hobby immensely, even if I do badly mess up nearly all of my artwork and 3D prints that I attempt to paint over!
I’ve got a Sparmax S76 airbrush, a CHIMAERA single action airbrush, and two other off-brand double action airbrushes. One of the off-brand airbrushes is a trigger type like this one, but its paint cup is on top of the airbrush and although it was advertised as double action, it isn’t.
I decided to get this in hopes that 1. it would actually be a double action airbrush this time and 2. I could use it with a finer needle/nozzle setup since I run a 0.5 mm needle and nozzle in the (un)double action trigger airbrush.
I gratefully note that this airbrush is indeed true double action. For the first quarter-length of this airbrush’s trigger pull, the nozzle only emits air. For the remainder of the airbrush’s trigger pull, you will add more and more paint to the air blast.
However, for reasons I’ve yet to determine, this airbrush ALWAYS, ALWAYS clogs on me! And it does so in a minute or less! I’ve lost counted of the number of times I’ve dismantled this airbrush to hurry and clean it before paint solidifies in it! I’ve tried replacing the needle and nozzle, the valve, and all of the paint cups that came with this airbrush. Nothing has rectified this issue.
And this is why I opened my review by describing my airbrush collection; None of my other airbrushes have this issue! Sure, occasionally I get a small clog from not clearing tip dry, but a quick swipe of a cheap paintbrush soaked in airbrush cleaner clears it right up. Whereas I have to disassemble this airbrush at least once every time I use it.
So, I’m giving this airbrush 2.5 stars. I was very pleased to discover that this airbrush is truly double action as advertised. But given that I’ve had nothing but clogging problems with it, I’ve stopped using it so now it’s just sitting in my toolbox, taking up space.

This is a nice air gun, the fine trigger makes it a little easier for me to spray and i don’t get much over spray so I’m not as worried about using it in the house with the small wireless air compressor

Had to advance trigger and tighten collet to allow air flow before paint release. Very limited control from gun. Pistol grip and trigger are comfortable. 2 sizes of paint cups are nice feature with adjustable angle of paint cup. Fair quality and function for price. Not really a detail gun.
