I do not like this train. I bought a new transformer that works 0-15V for HO trains and 0-18V for G scale trains. I wired the transformer correctly and I have no problem with it. The transformer I purchased is a “Model Rectifier Corporation Throttlepack 9950 Train Controller with LCD” which works great. This Steam engine started going backwards from day one. I reversed wires changed direction on the transformer but nothing worked. What I noticed was the engine light blinked while I was turning up the speed of the transformer and the train started going forward. I thought oh good it is working. I shut the train garden down for the night and when I turned it back on the engine started going backwards again. I tried to get the light to blink again without success and after getting frustrated I wanted to test the transformer so I put a older steam engine on the track and it worked correctly. I am using that steam engine instead of the new one. I would not waist my money on this product and if I could put a -5 star I would. Totally disappointed.

I love the green color scheme. Runs nice and smooth. I also love the soft yellow light which you can turn off and on with your DCC controller. Very reasonable price as well.

I had high hopes for this cute little 0-6-0 dcc switcher….it ran for less than a minute .. the side drive wheel connecting rods came loose…..and the tiny rod retainers came off. before i could stop the engine the side rods were off and bent. very, VERY poor quality on this locomotive. defective. ….return to seller. I have a Bachmann 2-10-2 and 2-8-0 and they run fine.
