The idea of spending 200+ dollars for your first airbrush can feel intimidating, and the space required by the compressor can be a big ask for some. Enter, this.
The product isn’t perfect, but it’s a good compromise between function, value and quality.

    Cons:

    – The cup has a bit of a “lip” at the bottom, possibly preventing a small amount of the paint from reaching the chamber easily. Not much of an issue really, but worth noting.
    – The compressor heats up quite a lot, so it’s worth making sure it’s not, say, in your pocket
    – The battery life is such that you should make sure to charge it before using it. It shouldn’t need saying, of course, but it sucks to start working only for it to stop working shortly after. It is also possible to use and charge it at the same time, but if you want an even result you can not do this if the battery is completely out of charge
    – You can’t adjust the PSI. Possibly the biggest drawback. The PSI is steady at 32, no more no less. For this reason, it’s not a great tool for very fine detail work.

So, what is it a great tool for, then?

    Pros:

    – Priming, zenithal priming, glazing and really all sorts of paint work that doesn’t demand you take the airbrush extremely close to the model.
    – Portable!! Taking an airbrush with you is hardly an issue, but a typical compressor might be a different story. This, however, is as portable as you could ever hope for an airbrush to be. Take it with you wherever, whenever. Just remember to bring your charger just in case!
    – Affordable. You can’t argue with that price, considering what you get for it.
    – Great for beginners! Let’s be honest; if you’re new to airbrushing, you’d rather start with something cheap that doesn’t hurt so much to break, if you do. That said, it’s not particularly fragile. The only thing worth treating with care is the needle, same as all other airbrushes. Also, it’s a normal double-action airbrush for all intents and purposes, so if you want to upgrade, you can just buy a normal compressor and attach it to that for home use later.

This is a good beginner set into airbrushing whether it be for painting canvases, miniature modules, or even small automotive parts this is a good start to get you into the world of airbrushing.

Bought this Airbrush back in September and after 3 months of light use the motor died in the compressor.
With amazons policy’s of returns and the manufactures lack of having a contact number it can become a paper weight real quick.

    Buyer Beware.

    Update:
The Customer service is amazing, I had my doubts, but I contacted the seller, and it was absolutely kind, and he immediately sent me a new one, but with the difference than this one is a whole new updated version, the charging cable is USB 3.0, there is a Battery charge metter, the start button is metal, and the Airbrush connector is not Plastic and metal anymore, it’s all metal, as any other professional compressor!
A beautiful new version! Although, I have not tested it completely yet, but so far so good! Possibly the battery may last longer…

I’ve raised the stars to 4, but I will update the stars to five once the product is completely tested.
Again, I’m really happy with the customer service!

    Old Review:
Let me be clear, all that everybody are saying about Cordless Airbrushes is true, they are awesome, but as they depends on a battery/compressor (all in one) they lack in reliablity, as if the battery dies o didn’t retain charge anymore, all the goodness is lost forever… That’s what happened with mine, I bought it with the intention to use it very often, but because of life happening, I ended only trying it out, and using it like two or three times in an actual project, nowadays I wanted to put it in good use, so I put it into charging so I can have it fully charge for my project… First frustration, no more charging light, second frustration, no more retaining charge… It looks like it wants to charge, but the battery should be a piece of horrible quality… As I said, almost never used, battery dead, money lost… A shame… An amazing idea of a product thrown away because of cheap components (?… sad… I don’t think at this point I will recover my money back, but if I do, I may not ending buying another of these cordless frustrations… I will contact the seller anyway and see what happens… Maybe this review will have an update…

The brush is perfect for miniature painting. I use it mainly for priming, zenithal, OSL effects, and shading on my 40k pieces. The PSI is perfect for these applications. The best part is that it’s handheld (no giant compressor) and the battery is more than capable when working on one to five minis at a time.

The seller also deserves some praise. After about 2 months, the housing on the compressor started to come loose and it would rattle violently and lose all pressure. I contacted the seller and they offered to ship a replacement no strings attached.

  6. David W.

Very nice for the price. Works well and not too loud. Had a problem with the tip arriving bent, but seller was very quick to help and replace the part. Would 100% recommend. It’s great for miniatures.

  7. Tuomo Majala

After using it for a couple weeks, I can easily say this was a great investment. The battery/compressor combo is amazing for portability. After getting the viscosity of the paint right, it’s quite consistent in terms of covering a project. Definitely would recommend to others!

  8. Fenix8452

I used this a total of three times for approximately 5-10 minutes of total time used. The worst airbrush I have ever owned. Would give it zero stars. Thanks

update I was contacted by seller and they sent me a replacement. working fine but time will tell

    thanks for the replacement

  9. Bupkis

While cleaning the airbrush the tip that screws into the body (and holds the needle tip) broke at the screw shaft. The part looked to be sheared off. I can only guess that the materials used were substandard.

  10. Rachel V

First time airbrush user here and I bought this to paint my minis and apply zenethil highlights.
This is great for that task and I love the portability of this machine. So far I haven’t had any troubles, but I can certainly tell that the quality of the airbrush isn’t amazing. Which is to be expected at this price.

The pressure it puts out is more than enough, and I mostly tone it down a bit anyway.

    THE BAD:
You may notice that a lot of reviews on here show people having a wide range of issues with this device from battery, to hose, to the airbrush. My experience is no different. My airbrush, does not stop spraying when my finger is lifted off the button. To stop the spraying on my machine, I need to pull back on the switch slightly. It seems as though there’s a defect in mine which has made the mechanism inside catch on something, stopping it from fully disengaging the valve. I’ve pulled it apart to see if there was some junk in there, and nothing. I may need to get some sandpaper out, but for now, I can live with it.

    THE GOOD:
The compressor itself is fantastic. Gets a little warm after long use, but the battery lasts plenty long enough. This would be great on its own and paired with a higher quality airbrush.

Great little tool and no regrets with this purchase.

I got this to do minis and terrain for tabletop gaming. I’ve never used an airbrush and was intimidated by the process for months. So I’ve owned this for 6 months but did not try actually using it until this week.

I tackled a terrain project of lava tiles. I couldn’t paint this convincingly with a brush and even if I had tried, it was going to take a very long time. Decided to give this a go. I thinned my dollar store paint and gave it a try.

I included a picture of the end result, but it was just so easy to use that I’m sorry I waited so long. The mini compressor did an amazing job of never resulting in spatters or lost pressure. I got about an hour or a little more out of a charge. I was laying on the compressor a lot, probably more than I needed to.

It wasn’t long enough for me to finish all 8 of these I made, I had to charge a few times, but the efficiency of my time and the way to can make a small amount of paint go a long way, I’m very impressed.
