13 reviews for Guillow’s Nieuport II Laser Cut Model Kit

  1. Tom Schleif

The Lazer cutting is awesome, no more cutting out stamped parts.. excellent model well worth the money. I haven’t built a balsawood model for over 50 years and I am hooked. Guillow models are solid kits. Looking for my next model when this one is done, it will be a Guillow kit.

  2. Kristy Langridge

    cool

  3. Bruno Roy

    Très bon produit…

  4. Peter

The kit arrived quickly(thanks to Prime) As yet I haven’t started the build yet, but the kit looks like it will be a fun project. Love the laser cutting of the parts…much better than die cut.

  5. Bob D

Arrived in excellent condition, very good packaging.

  6. Rosa Callalli

Perfect kit, hours of pleasure and very educative for anyone. Guillows is a fantastic compagny and their models are amazing.

  7. C-3PO

    Perfect!

  8. Dan Mayack

This laser cut kit was very well made. The balsa pieces came apart nicely. This style of model building forces you to be a little intuitive in construction methods. To do a real good job is a challenge, but it has filled these long winter months nicely. These kits are fun and rewarding (and frustrating!)

  9. Amazon Customer

Guillows have improved their kits by laser cutting the parts, instead of die cutting or”stamping” them. Very nice quality balsa as expected from such an old and respected company!

  10. Wayne J Germain

Built the Biplane, first timer for me (78 yrs), it turned out great! I’d do it again with another model if my hands didn’t shake so much while doing this kind of close work.

  11. Amazon Customer

Assembly went well, laser parts are great. Stringer placement is problematic at times as all veiws are not charted. Vacu-formed plastic parts are awful throwbacks to the 1940s, I guess some folks find them charming… But trying to fit the halves of the radial engine together was a nightmare. Forget the mg. Decals fell off after less than a day. It’s a shame that these details aren’t refined, because the plane itself looks terrific.

  12. Allan R. Glass

Excellent kit. Excellent wood, laser cutting and fit.

  13. Gus Luparelli

I had a ball constructing the Nieuport. It turned out to be my best Guillow model. To date, I have built the Fokker, Nieuport, Camel, Spitfire and Focke-Wulf. The laser cut made it so much easier to break each part from the balsa. Aligning the machine guns was a little tough. However, Guillow should provide a more authentic propeller.
