   The Model itself is fantastic. It has great detail and can be built with the wings folded for carrier operation. Great deal for a new tool Bearcat. Used prime shipping for item and it was delivered in the 2 days advertised however upon opening the shipping box, which was in perfect condition, the box containing the model itself was smashed on one side. Luckly nothing inside was damaged but it is concerning Amazon would ship something in this condition. It was well packaged in the shipping box with plenty of internal padding so it was smashed prior to being shipped. Five stars for the kit, take one off for the brief moment of panic in thinking it’s contents were destroyed…

   Its an okay kit, there’s no flash on the parts, the panel lines and rivets are very finely recessed, there’s good cockpit detail, but I think the good ends there. The fuselage fit was okay, filler was needed, the wings fit a bit better but filler still needed to be used. The engine detail is pretty lacking, the landing gear assembly was flimsy, no options for deployed flaps, positioned control surfaces or an opened canopy are present. While the panel lines and rivets are very nicely recessed they’re not deep enough to take on a wash. The decals conform okay but they’re very fragile and easy to tear, the canopy is very thick and has a very noticeable seam line running down the middle, and the most tragic of all, the propeller doesn’t spin very well. Despite all the cons of this kit, I had fun building it and I’m quite happy with the end result, but I don’t think I would recommend this kit to someone unless they’re willing to put a lot of work into the model.

   In a strange shipping error, I wound up getting two of the same kit when I only ordered and paid for one. I contacted the seller and returned the extra kit (they provided a prepaid label to do so at no cost to me), however, they still credited me for the kit that I did order. I messaged them saying that I still was glad to pay for the one I received and just wanted to return the extra one I didn’t pay for, and they simply told me to not worry about it. I wouldn’t bank on them making this mistake again, but I do appreciate the customer service I received and will gladly order again from the same company since they treated me so well over a mistake that was not mine.

   The kit was a gift for my dad, and he was excited to receive it – I’ve never seen him tear into a kit and build it so quickly and skillfully. It is the best-looking model in our case! Minimal filler, good detail, good fit. He was very impressed with it, and I was impressed with the kit even though I didn’t build it. I would very much like to build this kit as well because of the quality of it. Would definitely recommend for intermediate to advanced modelers. A damn good looking plane, too.
