My 10 year old son loves the Lego Speed Champions line and he loves this car. Like the sets from before 2020 this race car has only one seat. It does have a lot of details and he really loves the design of the car. It also comes with a lot of stickers to add to it. I think this car has a lot of value to it. He loves playing with it as he does all the cars in this series. If you are looking for a gift though you may want to consider the new cars from the 2020 release as they are noticeably bigger and sturdier. Here is a picture of it with the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan.

My son is a total Lego addict which actually helps me keep his creativity going and not throw money on other useless things that kids today are so fond of (video games, TV etc).

The speed champion series is better then the regular Lego designs for it has moving parts, gears etc to entice kids and give them that little something extra.
The best part was the really cool looking aspect of this car once completed.
Also, you cant go wrong with 200+ pieces at 12$ or so. Definitely value for money.

On to Lego Technic Series now.. 😀

For some reason this car is much narrow than the others from same collection. The proportion does not look right. It was fun to build that other models are much nicer when they are finished.

    Grandson loved it!

I’ve built multiple LEGO pieces before this one and I had the HARDEST time with this one. The wing on the McLaren Senna is definitely a hassel to deal with. I fiddled with it for about half an hour. Not to mention, my box came a little wrinkled/damaged. I don’t know if that was from the manufacturer itself or from my mail person.

Got this for my 5yo son for Christmas. He and I had recently worked on the Lego Technic Jeep Wrangler together and while he enjoyed it, I wanted to get him something that he could take the lead on. He absolutely flew through this on his own and loved it!

Great purchase. Box was smashed but nothing was missing or damaged on the inside.

I normally go for the 3-in-1 Creator cars because you can use the same pieces to make a variety of interesting vehicles. But this Speed Champion set looked really good, had interesting parts, and costs well below the 10 cents per piece mark. The set makes into a nice long car that looks good without the decals, which I prefer not to put on. After making the A model, I eventually built six alternate models from others’ designs on rebrickable. These included a concept car, the Arrow car, a super car, and three different Formula One race cars. The picture with the extra set of rims I designed myself to look like the 2018 Ferrari SF71H. Building is a good challenge to keep your mind fresh but can also be easy enough for kids.
