    It is what I expected.

This was a gift to my grandson from a well meaning relative. As it was his first model, I helped my him put this together. The quality control that went into the manufacture of this model was piss-poor to say the least. The pin for the back propeller was missing, as were the windows. The slot on one of the the plane’s fuselage sides, (for the insertion of the wing), was missing. The slot for the insertion of the landing assembly was missing from the other side of the fuselage. Several pin notches were missing as well.

None of these things should have occurred. I can understand the reason for the missing parts–they were never placed into the box in the first place. But I do not understand why the notches and slots were missing. This is a plastic cast model. So the missing notches and and slots were never added to the original mold.

I was able to use some of the tools in my shop to work around this–but I shouldn’t have had to do so. I’m in my late 50’s, and have built these types of models since I was 7 years old. This is the worst casting I have ever seen. There are probably many children out there who had to feel the full force of the frustration and disappointment that resulted from having attempted to to build this model without assistance.

The other reviewers that gave this model 5-stars are fake reviewers who were probably hired to write such reviews. The evidence of this is in the cast design of the model itself. It was never tested.

Nice model for someone with moderate model building experience. Purchased for School Plastic Model Club.

This is a nice kit with nicely molded parts. Photos of this kit on line show parts molded in grey plastic, but this came with parts molded in white plastic. This makes using a grey primer before painting silver a necessity. My only concern is that the pilot figure is way too small for this model; I am sure he is not 1/32 scale, as is the plane. There are many photos of this plane and its pilot on Google Images, so you can make your own judgment on this.

We purchased this because of the name mainly; and my son did a great job of assembling it! It looks great and he did a great job with the paint; even the pilot!
