   A great kit. This kit was straightforwards a to put together and looks amazing now it is built. It came with a full size masking pattern which we wish was in every kit. There is a lot of detail on the plane, the joins are all smooth and tight too. All in all a great kit for the money.

   Great kit from Tamiya, overall fit is generally good, with just the fuselage seamlines that need to be removed and the fit of the canopy wasn’t brilliant, so some work there to resolve the issue. Oh and the decals, well, that’s a common issue with earlier Tamiya kits – they are way too thick. I replaced them with after market decals, I also used Eduard photoetch and mask for the canopy. Else, not much to complain about and builds into an accurate and good looking model. Aside from the 1/32 version Tamiya do (that’s excellent), this is the best Mosi kit out there as I write.

   I purchased this model after reading all the excellent reviews about it. Does it live up to the hype, yes it certainly does.
   The parts are attached to seven runners , all doubled up in individual wrapping, which is very good, i think this is a general Tamiya thing.
   The molding is excellent with a lot of fine detail, not much plastic flashing so not to much trimming to be done.the clear plastic parts are of good quality with good detail. Good comprehensive instructions and color call outs. A separate sheet details positions of the decals. Some good painting skills are needed to finish this model to the standard it deserves.
   I think this is one of the best Mosquitos at this scale.

   I had never realized that the mosquito was built with a single tail and a double tail. I’m always looking for new WW 2 allied planes to build so I was pleased to find this one. Kit builds nicely.

   My kids are really into model building (I used to be as well) so we’ve seen a few brands and in my experience the Tamiya models are top notch. Shipping is quick for coming from overseas. Build quality is very good, I’d buy this over Revelle every single time.

    I received a kit that was definitely not up to the Tamiya usual standards. I found that many parts did not fit, some parts were not marked on the instructions, some parts were labeled with the wrong part number, and the directions were poor.
    After much trouble it turned out to be a good looking model.
