The good: Tons of detail, dozens of tiny parts for what promises to be a hyper-accurate model kit. Photo etched parts are included for some cool detailing.
The bad: The decals for the deck markings are blank, leaving me to paint them by hand…tedious and almost impossible to mask off–unless you do the paint work before assembly. The forward superstructure is a little shoddy and takes an extra amount of skill to make fit. A few of the tiny pieces are impractically small.
Overall, it’s not a bad kit, but it’s a pain to build. The end result looks adequate, and some painting tricks hid some of the evils. I have about fourteen ships in this scale, and this is the one I am least impressed by.
