I’m 69 yrs old always(except my US NAVY time) have lived in Calif. This model was fun to assemble and paint. Plus I educated myself about the wonder history of this great battleship.

The spruces trees are a collection from The USS Maryland and Colorado so you can have some extra parts if needed. About 10 spruce trees. A lot of extra parts which is good if you if you damage one and can maybe be used on other ships of the same class and time. You can mount the two mount or tri mount main guns in two barrel type configurations. This is the 1941 model and perhaps those other pieces like the 5 inch guns to be used on the 1944 model. But it was easy to assemble. The propeller shafts while flimsy and small.

After finishing the book from Amazon “Battleship Sailor” this was just the most logical thing to do. I bought the USS California in the 1941 and 1945 versions (they are VERY different in superstructure!)
