My son really wanted a fighter jet he could build for his birthday, but we knew that he would not do well with a set that required lots of tiny pieces to be glued together. This was a great find. Great quality, buildable without too much confusion, and now that it’s together, it stays together without falling apart. We will be buying other models from this manufacturer for sure!

My 5yr old loves it and plays with it often. This one stays together well . My son’s favorites are the F22 and P51 Mustang he does little dog fights with them. He also has the apache helicopter but as I mentioned in its review the helicopter is more delicate and the propellers can sometimes fall off

Very nice looking plane. Snapped together very clean and looks realistic. My one complaint is that it isn’t the same size as the F-35, but it still looks fantastic.

Seams and lines remind you this is basically a Lego model
Cheap but pricey (yes there’s such a thing)
Smaller than anticipated
Overall: nice for play or display but serious model enthusiasts won’t be convinced.

So isolated from the other Airfix models, this pseudo-lego plane is great. Pieces attach just like real lego, no loose attachments. However, I also bought the F-35 from the same brand, and they’re not remotely to scale, which is quite disappointing. I’m not happy displaying them next to each other, as the F-35 is like 40% larger, when the F-22 should actually be bigger.

Our 11 year old absolutely loves these! It’s like legos to him but with legos he often has changed them and built and become very obsessed with building. These only build one way and they are all different so he gets the enjoyment of a lego experience but the end product looks like his snap-build model airplanes, and are actually more solid and nicer feeling to hold. He enjoys playing with all of his planes. He has not missed a piece in the 4 kits he has built. He will continue to collect these. The only con is there are not a bunch of them. That’s good, too, because otherwise he would probably end up with a room full of planes. Haha!
