High quality from Tamiya as usual. Easy to assemble and very accurate if one compares it to drawings. I would recommend this kit for advanced modelers as the main gun is highly detailed.

タミヤから遂にフンメルが発売されました。
これで主要な車輌はほぼ揃ったのではないでしょうか。
作り易さとクオリティの高さを兼ね備える「世界のタミヤ」で主な車輌が揃えられるのは嬉しい限り。
’90年代初頭にドラゴン社からナスホルン、そしてフンメルが発売された際も大きな話題となりましたが、如何せん新興メーカー故に防盾の形状がおかしかったり、細部のあちこちに誤りや甘いモールドが有ったりと、嬉しさ反面批判も浴びました。
これでようやく、タミヤクオリティでフンメルが手に出来ます。遅すぎたくらいです。
砲弾補充作業中の兵士３体が付属。3Dスキャニングでリアルな反面、服の皺や彫り込みが浅く不満も残ります。
いちいち原型を人の手で作るよりスキャニングした方が製造側は楽なのでしょうが、作る側としては、少し前の深いモールドに直して貰いたい所です。
運転席周りのハッチは後期型を再現。ナスホルンと違い、この方がフンメルらしいと感じます。
防盾もかつてのドラゴン社とは異なり、正確且つ組み立て易い構成で何の心配も要りません。
照準器は極小ビスにより主砲の上下に連動。破綻無くクオリティとギミックを両立させるタミヤ、流石です。
履帯はプラ製の一部連結式。慎重に作業さえすれば、確実にリアルな履帯が再現出来ます。
他キットには接着・塗装可能な素材のベルト式一体成型の履帯が付いているキットも有りますが、こちらのプラ製一部連結式の方がリアルで且つ確実なので好きです。
ベルト式一体成型の物は、経年劣化に因り硬化しボロボロに割れる（！）事があり危険。
実際に体験しましたがショックでした・・・。
なので、こちらのようにプラ製一部連結式の方がベターです。
迫力の15cm榴弾砲は、別売のメタル製砲弾も用意されており、ライフリングも再現されてお勧めです。
デカールは２種が付属。唯一、不満があるとすればここでしょうか。
近年のキットでは付属デカールが少ない。たった２種類では選ぶ楽しみも無くなり、同じキットを複数買って違う車輌を作る醍醐味が無くなりました。
開発費や製造原価もそんなに高くはならない筈ですから、デカールは是非３種以上を付けて戴きたい所です。
遂に出た1/35スケールの決定版フンメル。オープントップ車輌の為、内部の作り込みや塗装に拘るのも楽しみです。
世界のタミヤの次回作にも期待しましょう。

Typical Tamiya, great fit, great detail, easy assembly, low part count. You can find higher level of detail but it will cost you more and it will be hard to build. never go wrong with Tamiya.

This is a high quality kit from Tamiya. It is reasonably priced for what you get in the kit. The kit does not include vinyl tracks. Instead it has styrene link and length tracks which are better for simulating track sag. Upper armor plates are thin and correct for scale. The kit comes with three figures, ammunition crates, shells and casings. Road wheel bolt detail is excellent. The kit is a recent 2019 release. Although it is not as.detailed as the Dragon version, it has better parts fitment and is less complicated to build than Dragon’s kit. Overall, I highly recommend this kit if you want to build a late production Hummel in 1/35 scale.

I had great hopes for this Model. Of course till I seen it had plastic pieces for tracks. Still haven’t built it, probably never will. Whats the since! I expect more from TAMIYA.
