  1. Gregory D. Robinson

Bought this for a commission build. It was so crunched, I pitched it and ordered from a domestic sight. So much for profit.
The seller has promised to make it whole, but I simply cannot wait another month for overseas shipping with USPS guerilla delivery methods.
The kit itself is nice. A little over-engineered in how the parts fit. It is important to dry-fit everything to see how one correlates to the other. I tossed out the directions as far as order of construction. there is simply no way to paint this and achieve professional results with everything in place. Di yourself a favor if you intend to build this full hull. Glue the upper and lower hull halves (horizontal seam the circumference of the waterline) together, putty if needed (very little actually, which is nice) Then install the sonar blister. The props and shafts+ rudder can wait a little while. Build the provided cradle to sit it in while working. Tack it to the cradle with RTV clear silicone.
    Recommend the kit.
The seller needs to pack for international shipping, there was NO PADDING and the box it came was the same size as the kit. They did respond quickly, so kudos there. The gorillas that pack international shipping simply smash everything into a ball and cram it together, so you really cannot completely fault the seller. It is frustrating to have to wait for parts and broken pieces.

  2. Jerry Kissinger

Surprised that the lower hull was molded in color, I was expecting to have to paint it!

  3. Thomas Meleck

This model is incredibly well detailed. With a little paint, a little glue, a little care and the use of the included photo etched parts, an entirely credible scale model can be constructed. Its actual delivery was 4 weeks earlier than predicted. Five stars.

  4. Ray Diamond

    Went together fast and easy

  5. Amazon Customer

Very nice detailed model of an early flight I I A Arleigh Burke class DDG. Usual Trumpeter quality. Can be built either full hull or waterline. One of the more important aspects to me.
